Candles

What is the best way to burn my Candle?
Our recommended burn time is around 4 hours. On the first burn, allow the melt pool to reach the edges of the jars before extinguishing. This will allow the candle to burn evenly and prevent "tunneling". Never leave a candle unattended or in reach of children, pets or a draft. Please also allow the jar to cool completely before handling.

Why do we use Soya Wax?
We love working with soy for many reasons, our main reasons are its renewable and carbon neutral. We love the fact soy wax has a cleaner burn and it even lasts longer than paraffin- win win! Paraffin candles burn toxic fumes into the atmosphere so we will never use it. Our Soya wax mood candles with essential oils also double up as massage candle. Pour the wax from the candle which will be luke warm and massage into the skin.

Can I reuse my jar?
Of course you can! We at promote upcycling and recycling and therefore suggest multiple ways of repurposing your jars. When a 1/4 of wax remains, discontinue use of the candle. Place candle in the freezer, and once the wax hardened, it can be chipped out along with the wick. If there is more than a little bit of wax left, we recommend the "oven method" - place your candle in a warm oven and allow the wax to liquify. Dump the wax out and wipe clean. Soap and water can then be used to remove the wax residue.

Why does my candle has some wet spots?
The term “wet spots” in candle making refers to the spots or patches in container candles that appear to have air, or a wet spot showing through the glass or transparent container and the candle wax. Wet spots are extremely common and are one of the most common complaints among candlemakers. Soya wax is sensitive to temperature changes in the home and sometimes wet spots are inevitable. This can be a common occurrence with any candles. It does not however effect the candle quality at all and is only a cosmetic issue with the appearance of the candle.

What can I use the jars for?
Use as a glass tumber for drinks, to store pens, plants, get creative and make some jams or just recycle!
